If you ARE a #7, you are awesome!

How do you know if you are a #7? The #7 is known as the Enthusiast or the Epicure. Her motivation is to avoid pain and maximize pleasure. The childhood message she received was: “There’s not enough for you,” so she tends to focus on consuming and amassing whatever there is, just in case she won’t miss out on something.

She believes the next big adventure is just around the corner, and is dedicated to accentuating the positive and eliminating (or at least ignoring) the negative. Does this sound like you? You may be a #7.

However, the best way to know your Enneagram number is to take a class or read a book and familiarize yourself with all the numbers, then see which one resonates with you.

There’s a free test you can do here, but this is not as accurate as doing more study —  if you take this test several times, you may come up with several different numbers. It’s a starter though.

Of course you are lucky if you get to be a #7. We have all the fun. But we face unique challenges, too. For instance, if we are drowning in debt, we find it best to put each new bill that we can’t pay into the freezer and forget about. Or we tend to overdo it when we eat or drink, in case tomorrow there’s no food left. I suppose our tendency to accentuate the positive sometimes interferes with our ability to face the actual issues in our life.

So, in this blog, I want to give #7’s hope that they can have FUN and FUNCTION as the best #7 they can be! Thanks for joining me on this exciting journey!
